รณ Leona B. Glover Cunningham, 88, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2004 in
the Life Care Center after an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 9, 1915 in Rowan County, to the late Reese G. and Verdie Kissinger Walsh.
Mrs.
Cunningham was a retired cook for Morehead State University. She was a
member of the Sharkey Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed embroidery,
canning and quilting.
Survivors include four daughters, Louise
Stigall Carroll and her husband, Clayton, Janet Jones and her husband,
Merle, Margaret Jennings and her husband, Paul and Darlene Caskey and
her companion, Bob Adams, all of Morehead, two sisters, Christine Knaus
of Dayton, Ohio and Avanelle McDaniel of Marion, Ohio, 16 grandchildren
and 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by her husband, Bill Glover who passed away on March
28, 1957, two sons, William "Wig" Glover who passed away in 1984 and
Lawrence Herbert Glover, two brothers, Arnold Walsh and Earl Walsh,
three sisters, Madeline Hutton, Gretle Brown and Juanita Wilson and one
grandson, Michael Craig Stigall.
Funeral services were conducted
Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev.
Harley Sexton Jr., Rev. Ray Glover and Rev. Don Rivers officiating.
Burial in the Mabry Cemetery.
