PEPPERELL -- Carl E. Morgan, 84, of Pepperell died Saturday, March 7, 2015.
Carl was born on December 15, 1930 in Maysville, Kentucky; he was the son of the late Clarence and Nellie (Riley) Morgan.
He
leaves his wife of 63 years, Sayoko (Haga), his children; Carl Morgan
Jr. and his wife, Patricia of Palm Coast, Florida, Barbara Curtis and
her husband Spencer of Fitchburg, Shirley Morgan and her partner Robin
Poulin of Hooksett, New Hampshire, Rob Morgan and his wife Donna of
Shrewsbury; 6 grandchildren, and 2 great- grandchildren.
Carl
joined the United States Army and served his country for 21 years,
rising to the rank of Master Sergeant. He was a Korean War Conflict
Veteran, served overseas in Japan as Military Police, and was an
Explosive Ordinance Disposal Specialist. After retiring from the
military, he continued working as a civilian for 20 years in the
Military Morale Group at the Fort Devens Bowling Alley and the Fort
Devens Golf Course.In his retirement, he enjoyed following his
grandchildren's activities and his Tuesday morning rounds of golf at the
Groton Country Club.
MORGAN -- A memorial service and burial
will be held on Friday, March 13 at 2:00 pm in the Massachusetts
Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon, MA. Brandon Funeral Home, 305
Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg is directing arrangements.In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 10 Speen
Street, 2nd Floor, Framingham, MA 01701,or the American Diabetes
Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241.
