Mercedis Ruth Poston Glover, age 74, of Wescott Road, Morehead, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

Born August 10, 1939, in Rowan County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Ernie and Lennie Poston. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Allie "Hoss" and Minnie Sorrell, who raised her; three sisters, Pansy Pitts, Mary Jo Jessee and an infant; five brothers, Malcolm Poston, James Poston, Bill Poston, Donald Poston, and Richard Poston; and one grandson, Christopher Glover.

Her husband, William "Wig" Glover, passed away in 1984.

Survivors include three sons, Tony Glover, Darrell Glover and wife Cindy and Jeff Glover, all of Morehead; one daughter, Missy Lindon and husband Rodney of Morehead; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters, Dottie Durham and Karen Johnson, both of Morehead, and Sue Miller of Xenia, Ohio; one brother, Lilburn Poston of Xenia, Ohio; several nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

Ruth was a 32-year employee of Allen's IGA, a former deputy sheriff, and a former employee of Ken-Mor Stone and the Family Dollar Store. She enjoyed fishing, antiquing, and spending time with family. She was a member of Slaty Point Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mark Caldwell, Rev. Rusty Hedrick, and Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating. Burial will follow in Slaty Point Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Toby Glover, Ryan Glover, Jake Glover, Matt Hamilton, Josh Fannin, and Josh Barker.

Visitation is after 3 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
