Arthur Bernard Curp, Jr., 56, of Tifton, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

Funeral services at the Chapel of Bowen Donaldson Home for Funerals. The Rev. John S. Gibbs Sr. officiated.

Burial followed at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Curp, Brian Curp, Ralph Allen, David Fletcher, Terry Kaiser, Mike Yarbrough, and Ricky Teal. Honorary pallbearers were Phillip Curp and Cruise Olade.

Born May 7, 1944, in Dayton, Ohio, Mr. Curp was the son of Arthur Bernard Curp, Sr. of Dayton and the late Emily Hamm Curp.

Mr. Curp was a salesman and also dealt in sports cards.

He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Curp is survived by his wife, Cynthia Fletcher Curp of Tifton; two sons, David Curp of Ohio and Brian Curp of Tifton; two daughters, Kimberly Curp and Elizabeth Kegley, both of Tifton; one brother, Phillip Curp of Eaton, Ohio; one sister, Claudia Curp of Dayton, Ohio; and five grandchildren.
