Wilma Jean Roberts Himes, 73, of Attica, died at 5:24 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, at Clarian Arnett Hospital, Lafayette.

She was born June 6, 1937 in Flemingsburg, Ky. to the late Ira and Leona Hopkins Roberts. On Aug. 29, 1955, she married Silas Himes and he survives.

Also surviving are six children, John R. Himes (wife: Wanda) of Terre Haute, Cheryle Jean Himes of Lafayette, Debra A. Roemer of Attica, David A. Himes (wife: Jennifer) of Veedersburg and James P. Himes and Mark Himes, both of Attica; two sisters, Janet Wallingford of Flemingsburg, Ky. and Laverne McDaniel (husband: Robert) of Paris, Ky.; three brothers, Marion Roberts and Kenny Roberts, both of Flemingsburg and Danny Lee "Tuck" Roberts of Washington, Ohio; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by 3 grandchildren, Erika Himes, Amanda Roemer and Destiny Himes; a sister, Genevieve Hamilton and 2 brothers, Dennis and David Roberts.
