Claude Russell Ross, age 69, of Ringos Mill Road, Hillsboro, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013, at his home.

Born May 21, 1943, in Fleming County, Kentucky, Claude was the son of the late Rev. Richard and Elizabeth Jones Ross. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell Ross on December 28, 2008; one brother, Tommy Ross; and four sisters, infant Juanita Ross, Teresa Gallagher, Betty LaForce, and Deloris Gallagher.

Claude is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marcella Hyatt Ross, whom he married January 3, 1964; two sons, Tony Ross of Morehead, Kentucky, and Josh Ross of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; three daughters, Michele Reisenbigler, Sherry Mayse and husband Danny, and Juanita Davidson, all of Morehead, Kentucky; 15 grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

Claude was a former band saw operator at Green Tree Pallet Mill in Fleming County. He enjoyed woodworking, family cookouts, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Steagall officiating. Burial will follow in Goddard Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Adams, Patrick Gallagher, Zachary Mayse, Tony Ross, Frank Weaver, Anthony Holbrook, Clarence Gallagher, and Josh Ross.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
