Tony Russell Ross, age 48, of Sharkey Road, Morehead, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013, from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run accident on KY 1010 near Ezel. He was born September 28, 1965, in Rowan County, and is the son of Marcella Hyatt Ross of Morehead, and Claude Russell Ross, who passed away March 31, 2013. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Mitchell Shawn Ross on December 28, 2008. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Tony Ross, Jr. of Indiana; two daughters Ashley Gibson of Mt. Sterling and Kayla Ross of Jackson; five grandchildren; three sisters, Michele Reisenbigler, Sherry Mayse and husband Danny, and Juanita Davidson, all of Morehead; one brother, Josh Ross and wife Ashley of Mt. Sterling; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; extended family members; and friends. Tony was a sawmill employee at Valley View Hardwoods and enjoyed drawing, designing tattoos, fishing, family cookouts, and all of nature and the great outdoors. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Raymond Stegall officiating. Burial will follow in Goddard Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Zack Mayse, Patrick Gallagher, Brad Adams, Kevin Smedley, Josh Ross, and Brian Salmons. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
