Pauline Ruggles Willis, 65, of Ewing, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Robertson County Healthcare Facility.

Born in Fleming County on June 14, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Johnny D. and Rose Marie Ross Ruggles.

Pauline was a homemaker and graduate of Fleming County High School.  She resided 37 years with her sister Linda and Larry Herrington in Ewing and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Fairview.

She is survived by her daughter, Rose Ann Deaton and husband Randall  of Hazard;  her grandchildren,  Bryan (Samantha) Ballard, Kayla (Jacob) Combs, and Krystina Ballard; three great grandchildren, Nevaeh Rose Ballard, Michael Stanton Ballard, and Peyton Marie Combs all of Hazard.  She is also survived by her sisters,  Ida Mae Ruggles of Flemingsburg, Mary Frances (Jimmy) Emmons of Hillsboro, Betty Jean Davis of Flemingsburg, Linda (Larry) Herrington of Ewing, and Florence (Steve) Hickerson of Flemingsburg; her nephew, Jonathan (Kelly +2) Herrington of Nicholasville; and a host of other relatives, friends and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Frankie Ruggles; her sisters, Wilma and Ethel Ruggles; her nephew, Clinton Ruggles; and her niece, Alicia Herrington.

Services are 1 p.m., Friday, March 30, at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Brother Todd Wiley officiating.

Pauline will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park.

Pallbearers include Larry Herrington, Randall Deaton, Bryan Ballard, Jonathan Herrington, Bill Leet, and Dan Abshire.

Visitation at the funeral home is 6 – 9 p.m., on Thursday.
