John Wallace Blanton, 67, died at the home of Rev. Theodore Williams, near Manila, Monday night about 11:00. He had been in ill health for some time, but his condition was not considered serious.

He was stricken suddenly while taking a walk Sunday evening. He was taken to the home of his brother- in-law, Rev. Williams, not being able to be moved to his own home.

He is survived by his wife and several children, four of whom live in Columbus, Ohio.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 today by the Rev. Thurman Ferguson, Foster Rigsby and Lonza Reed. Burial was in the Blanton cemetery at Manila.
