He was born July 13, 1918, in Opolis, Kansas, the son of Guy and Edna (Holderman) Spangler.

Mr. Spangler was a World War II Veteran in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Spangler came to Muncie in 1974 to work for Trailways Bus Company, and later worked for MITS as a driver. He retired with MITS in 1984.

He was a former member of Southern Baptist Church, and enjoyed gardening, going out to eat with friends, and he loved animals, especially cats.

Surviving are three step-daughters, Sonya, Sylvia, and Carol; and special friend, Debbie Meeks, Muncie.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel in 2001, and two brothers.

Private graveside services will be held at Elm Ridge Cemetery. At Clifford's request, there will be no public visitation or service.
