Willie Stacy, age 83, of Cranston Road, Morehead, Kentucky, was born in Rowan County, Kentucky, on January 20, 1929, and passed to his heavenly home on Saturday, August 11, 2012, of Parkinsons disease. He was at the home of his daughter, Mary Jane, and her husband, Rick Crank.

Mr. Stacy was predeceased by his parents, Otis and Cora Plank Stacy; brothers, Ora and Carl Stacy; sister, Darlene McDowell; infant sister Dora; and his twin infant brother Billy.

Mr. Stacy is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Hamm Stacy; his brothers, Jim and Ottis Stacy, both of Barn Branch; and his sister, Bonnie Stacy Estep, of Barn Branch. Willie is also survived by his children and their spouses, Cliff Stacy (Connie) of Ft. Thomas, KY; Ronnie Stacy (Peggy) of Houston, TX; Dinah Stacy Wright (Warren) of Missouri City, TX; and Mary Jane Stacy Crank (Rick) of Morehead, KY. Mr. Stacy is survived by nine grandchildren, eight great grand children, extended family and friends.

Willie was employed in the construction industry for many years. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed chopping wood, wildlife, and all the outdoors had to offer. He was very fond of cats, especially white ones.

Willie was known as 'the candy man' selling goodies made by his wife and often giving candy to others, including his participation in 'candy rains' at church. Willie attended Limestone Apostolic Church of Olive Hill, KY, and was active in their Compassion Ministry. Prior to LAC, he was a member at Morehead Apostolic Church.

The family wishes to thank everyone who contributed to Willie throughout his life, and to those who provided care to improve the quality of his final days. Although Willie entered this life weighing less than four pounds, he leaves this world as a man of great stature.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rick Crank and Rev. Kenneth Binion officiating. Burial will follow at Adams-Plank Cemetery on Cranston Road.

Pallbearers will be sons, Cliff and Ronnie Stacy; grandsons, Craig, Kevin, and Matt Stacy; granddaughters, Tiffany Stacy, Jenny Price and Christina Crank; and Bruce McClurg. Honorary pallbearers will be Warren Plank, Jim Blythe, Frank McCoy, Harold White, Bobby Verst, and Denny Northcutt.
