SOURCE: Urbana Daily Citizen, June 8, 1955--Urbana, OH St. Paris Woman Passes Away In County Hospital Mrs. Lyda Myrtle McCain, 69, St. Paris route two, passed away at 9:55 p.m. Tuesday in Champaign county hospital, where she had been a patient for three months. She was born in Paintsville, Kentucky on June 7, 1866, the daughter of George and Angeline Nichols Blanton. Her husband, Samuel J. McCain preceded her in death in January, 1935. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Glen Cooper, St. Paris route two and Mrs. Archie Trimble, Cable, two sons, Arthur Williams, Cable, Ray Williams, Ashland, Kentucky, fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Simon Tackett, Cedarville, and Mrs. Granville Williams, Urbana, and a brother, Mr. Edgar Blanton of Idaho, also survive her. The body has been removed to Humphreys and Son funeral home where arrangements are being made to transfer the body to Ashland, Kentucky, where funeral services will be held.
