Angela Compton, 68, of Wallingford, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017, at Bracken Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born on May 24, 1948, in Petersville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Franklin “Ott” and Goldie Jewell Howell Stidham. Angela worked as a caregiver for Comprehend for 25 years. She was known as a simple, very giving person who loved people and taking care of others. She enjoyed singing gospel music and was a member of the Plummers Landing Christian Church. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, William “Bill” Compton; children, Chris (Pam) Compton, Greg (Pam) Compton, Billie (Shalita) Compton and Lori (Steve) Harn; her grandchildren, Scott (Kaci) Compton, Blake Compton, Victoria Newsom (Travis) Massey, Alexander Compton and Jonah Compton; great grandchildren, Trenton Massey and Titus Compton. She is also survived by her brother, Marvin (Charlotte) Stidham; and her aunts and uncles, Geraldine (Jim) Porter, Lois McRoberts and Ray Howell. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2017, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Gaylord Gillespie and Bro. Cleve King officiating. Burial will follow in Muses Mills Cemetery. Pallbearers include Scott Compton, Blake Compton, Travis Massey, Adam Bailey, Daryl Thacker, Steve Harn, Gary Lee Moore, Doug Compton, Jonah Compton and Alexander Compton. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
