Arch Thompson, 98, of Berry, KY, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at the Robertson County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Olivet. Born on February 26, 1916 in Pendleton County, he was a son of the late Tommy T. and Stella Mae Hamm Thompson. On December 28, 1968, he married Chloteen Martin Thompson, and his wife preceded him in death on July 7, 2010. A U.S. Army veteran, Arch was a train engineer with N & W Railroad, a well-known Pendleton County farmer, and a member of the Marcus Crooked Creek Baptist Church since 1930.

He is survived by two children: Linda (Jerry) McQueen of Marysville, OH and Eva (Bill) Thompson of Berry, KY; two step-children: Keith (Lois) DeLotell of Portsmouth, OH and Connie McGowan of Springfield, OH; several grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren. Arch was the last member of his immediate family. The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Berry, with Rev. Jay Holt officiating. The visitation will be from 9 – 11 am preceding the service at the funeral home. Interment with full military honors by the Hardin- Browning Post #109 will take place in the Pythian Grove Cemetery, Berry. Memorials are suggested to the Robertson County Nursing and Health Care Center.
