Services Saturday For Former County Judge Judge Rexford Trimble, 57, former County Judge of Johnson County and well-known farmer of Volga, died in a local hospital at 7:30a.m., Tuesday, March 17, of a heart attack following a few day's illness. The son of the late Kern and Martha Auxier Trimble, he was born at Barnetts Creek January 18, 1902. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He brought to the office of County Judge his high ideals of public service and was liked and respected for the honesty and integrity displayed in the discharge of his duties while serving as a county official. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bertha Blanton Trimble; one son, John Trimble, Greensburg; three daughters, Mrs. Dennie Williams, Honolulu; Mrs. Carl Allen, Louisville; Mrs. Henry Burchett, Eastwood; one sister, Mrs. Victoria Preston of this city. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 Saturday, March 22, from the Cannon Chapel Methodist Church by Rev. George Hart. Music was by the Toms Creek Quartet with Joe Hall at the piano. Active pallbearers were Carson Auxier, Cecil Auxier, Frank Pelphrey, Jessie Pelphrey, Trimble Pelphrey, Pierce Pelphrey and R.J. Trimble. Honorary pallbearers: John Fred Williams, Coke Williams, Dow Stapleton, Harry Burchett, Vern Horne, Normal Fyffe, Roy Webb, Wardie Prater, Elmon Davis, Harry Davis, Dr. Sanky Williams, Winoe Trimble and Franklin Wheeler.
