Mrs. Virgie Blanton Williams, 70, resident of Red Bush, died at 7:46 p.m., Wednesday, September 12 in a local hospital. The daughter of the late Sanford L. and Sarah McKenzie Blanton, she was born in this county, September 19, 1891, and had lived in the county practically all her life. Her husband, Oka L. Williams, preceded her in death September 13, 1953. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Edna Mae Scott, Laramie, WY; Mrs. Ilena Bailey, Portsmouth, OH; Miss Floine Williams, Red Bush; a brother, Albert Blanton, Ironton, OH; three sisters, Mrs. Edgar Lemaster, Portsmouth, OH; Mrs. Rex Trimble, Volga; Mrs. Verna Butler, city. Also surviving are two grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the home Saturday at 11 a.m. with J. T. Bailey and Ellis Hamilton as officiating ministers.
