Son of George Washington and Gladys Emma (Branham) White.

First husband of Elizabeth (Sparks)Chaney and Second husband of Anita (Gund)White.

He owned and operated White's Hardware and Grocery Store on Cranston Road. Everyone called him "TOMMY"

He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict and recieved the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts.

He was president and vice president of Route 377 Community Developement and helped develope the Tilden Hogge School and helped organize the Route 377 Volunteer Fire Department, both located at Cranston Kentucky in Rowan County.

Mr. White was also former director and president of the Rowan County United Way, and helped establish the Boy Scouts of America in Rowan County. He served on the 4-H Council and recieved the Tom Wallace award in Forestry in addition to several awards from the Wildlife Federation. He recieved the Lion's Club International Award for Outstanding Community Service, the Distinguished Service Award from the Rowan County Soil Conservation.He was a 25 -year member of the Morehead Masonic Lodge #654. He was a former president and vice-president of the Rowan County Farm Bureau and served on the Board of Rowan County Farm Bureau.

Full Military Rites were conducted at the gravesite, by Morehead ,Amercian Legion Post #126. Masonic Rites were performed at the Northcut & Son Memorial Chapel, by the Morehead Masonic Lodge #654.
