Nadine Thompson Helderbrand - 1922-2008

Nadine Thompson Helderbrand, 86, of Rose Ridge, Olive Hill, Ky., passed away Thursday morning, Oct. 2, 2008, in St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Ky.

She was born Sept. 6, 1922, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of the late Fred and Idle Logan Thompson.

Nadine was a Christian, a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Luster Arnold Helderbrand; a son, Eugene Helderbrand; four brothers, Bill Thompson, Burnace Thompson, Glen Thompson and Junior Thompson; and a sister, Virginia Reeder.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Janice Helderbrand of Morehead; three daughters and sons-in-law, Marcella and Phillip Alexander of Conroe, Texas, and Hazel and Edd Branham and Esther and Keith Bays, all of Olive Hill; two brothers, Clyde Thompson of Winchester, Ind., and Hobert Thompson of Wilkison, Ind.; and a sister, Justine Thompson of Shiloh, Ohio. She also leaves nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill by Brother Lewis Davis and Brother Gayle Price. Burial will be in Logan Cemetery on Rose Ridge in Olive Hill.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. today, all day Saturday and until time of services Sunday at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
