Mrs. Mavis Logan Masters Kegley, age 99, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Sunday morning, June 21, 2015, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center.

She was born August 15, 1915, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Earl Masters Sr. and Sarah Reeder Masters.

Mavis is a member of the Flat Fork Church of Christ and retired from the Carter County Board of Education after 37 years as a teacher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert "Bill" Kegley; her son-in-law, Danny Prickett; and three brothers, Joseph M. Masters, Earl Masters Jr. and Ernest Masters.

Mavis is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Prickett of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Julie (Patrick) Harney of Paris, Kentucky, and Valrie Prickett of Louisville, Kentucky; three great grandchildren, Bryce (Krista) Harney, Braeden Harney, and Samuel Harney all of Paris, Kentucky; and one brother, Omer Masters of Bainbridge, Ohio. She also has many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Elder Braeden Harney and Brother Dave Shanklin officiating. Burial will follow in the Flat Fork Cemetery on Flat Fork in Olive Hill, Kentucky.

Friends may visit from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015, and until the service hour at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home, 145 Gearhart Street, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164, for Mrs. Mavis Logan Masters Kegley.

George Masters, Bryce Harney, Bill Masters, Braeden Harney, Kenneth Masters, and Samuel Harney will serve as pallbearers.
