Wilburn Eugene Hollar, 84, widow of Anna Hickerson Hollar, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville.

Born July 8, 1928 in Lewis County, he was the son of the late John Daniel and Lena Wells Beckett Hollar.

Wilburn was a former employee of Randall Textron and he worked at local saw mills. A member of Unity Baptist Church and Flemingsburg Freewill Baptist Church, Wilburn enjoyed fishing, hunting and Bluegrass music.

Surviviors include: three children, David (Christina) Hollar, Angela (Scotty) Ratliff, and Anna Gallagher (fiance, Junior Clark); grandchildren, Travis Gallagher (fiance, Jackie Snedegar), Jonathon Gallagher, David Matthew (Fonda) Gallagher, Rusty (Arvetta) Hollar, Randall Burton, and Tosha (Randy) Ishmael; great-grandchildren, Sylvia, Brandon, Justin, and Cameron Gallagher, and Rusty Shane Jr. and Mackayla Hollar; two sisters, Shirley Stanfield and Mary Evans; a brother, Junior Lee Hollar; special friends, Floyd Burton, Billie Cottey, David Gallagher, Clifford Keaton, and Charles McCord; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen McRoberts and Christine Karat.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Charles Walton. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Denton Cemetery.

Pallbeares will be Randall Burton, Jonothan Gallagher, David Matthew Gallagher, Rusty Hollar, Robert Workman, Rodney Earlywine, Dustin Keaton, and Doug Whisman. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles McCord, Clifford Keaton, Bobby Snedegar, Allie Boggs, James McCord, Eric Thompson, and Floyd Burton.
