NICHOLASVILLE - Gladys Hamm Brooks, 97, Weil Lane, Nicholasville, died Sat. Dec. 18, 2004 at her home after an extended illness. A native of Jessamine County she was born Feb. 12, 1907 to the late Arthur and Mary Dunn Hamm. She was the widow of Elliott Brooks who died in 1978, a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church and former member of the Oak Hill Homemakers.

Survivors include her children Clarence Brooks and wife Louise, Versailles, Harry Brooks and wife Rosalyne, Nicholasville, Elsie Roberts and husband Bill, OH, Nancy Gay hart and husband Clevert, Nicholasville, and Paul Brooks and wife Dianne, Nicholasville, a sister Dolly Perkins and husband Edward, Nicholasville, 13 Grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Shirley & Norman Hamm and two sisters Olive Carter and Anna K. Stappe.

Services will be Wed., Dec. 22, 2004 at HAGER & CUNDIFF FUNERAL HOME on Oak Street, with Rev. Lee Taylor officiating. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gene Brooks, Wayne Brooks, Todd Lewis, David Brooks, Hannah Stephens, and Ryan Corman. Honorary bearers will be Larry Roberts Curt Stephens, James Beaumont, and Ernie Bain.
