Jewell Spradlin McKenzie, 88, of Piketon, Ohio, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Pike Community Hospital. <p>Born June 28, 1914, in Manila, a daughter of the late Francis Marion and Lizzie Mae Blanton Tackett, she was a beautician. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Shay Spradlin; her second husband, Hobert McKenzie; and two brothers, Jack Tackett and Willard Tackett. Survivors include a daughter, Wilma F. Hannah of Piketon; two brothers, F. M. Tackett of Staffordsville and Emory Tackett of Windor, Ohio; a sister, Mabel Picklesimer of Thornville, Ohio; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.<p> Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today, Friday, Sept. 6, at Paintsville United Baptist Church with Elders John R. Pelphrey, John Daniels and Arville Murray Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of Paintsville Funeral Home.
