Jewell Spradlin McKenzie, 88, of Piketon, Ohio, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Pike Community Hospital.

Born June 28, 1914, in Manila, a daughter of the late Francis Marion and Lizzie Mae Blanton Tackett, she was a beautician. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Shay Spradlin; her second husband, Hobert McKenzie; and two brothers, Jack Tackett and Willard Tackett. Survivors include a daughter, Wilma F. Hannah of Piketon; two brothers, F. M. Tackett of Staffordsville and Emory Tackett of Windor, Ohio; a sister, Mabel Picklesimer of Thornville, Ohio; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today, Friday, Sept. 6, at Paintsville United Baptist Church with Elders John R. Pelphrey, John Daniels and Arville Murray Jr. officiating.
