Francis
 Marion "F.M." Tackett Jr., 87, of Staffordsville, died Monday, Sept. 3,
 2007 at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg. Born Feb. 12, 
1920, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late Francis Marion Sr. and
 Elizabeth Blanton Tackett. He was a road construction welder and a WW 
II Army veteran. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Pauline 
Howard Tackett, in 1998. Survivors include a son, Randy Hale of 
Paintsville; a daughter, Susie Music of Staffordsville; a brother, Emery
 Tackett of Georgia; a sister, Mabel Picklesimer of Ohio; three 
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 
Thursday, Sept. 6, at Staffordsville Freewill Baptist Church, 
Staffordsville, with Revs. Wendell Ison, Jimmy Price, and Doug Crider 
officiating. Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
 direction of Paintsville Funeral Home.
