Martha resident Ova McKenzie, 77 died Tuesday, August 4 1981 in Louisa Community Hospital. Mr. McKenzie was born July 13 1904, in Johnson County Ky., the son of Joe Lee & Loucina Estep McKenzie. He was a retired connection foreman for Ashland Oil Company and a member of the United Baptist Church. His first wife, Esta Blanton McKenzie, preceded him in death June 1, 1968 Surviving are his wife, Maye Sparks McKenzie, five sons, Elder Eual McKenzie, Flat Gap, Eugene, Paul and Joe Proctor McKenzie all of Columbus, Ohio; three daughters, Jewell Skaggs, Owensboro, Maxine Sagraves, Lexington, and Hattie Lou Wilson, Keaton; three brothers, Willie and Dolphie McKenzie, Fuget, and Charlie McKenzie, Columbus, Ohio; a sister Mrs. Delva Wheeler, Ohio; 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday August 6 in Cold Springs United Baptist Church, Fuget with Elders Lonza Reed, J.T. Bailey and B.C. Ferguson officiating. Burial was in Patty Flat Cemetery in Flat Gap, Johnson County Ky.
