HOLTON -- A private graveside inurnment service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holton Cemetery for Myrtle L. Hamm Gibson, 82, formerly of Holton. She died Feb. 13, 2003, in Willow, Alaska.
<p>Mrs. Gibson had been a nurse practitioner on the West Coast and she had worked in the former Topeka State Hospital.
<p>She was born Jan. 6, 1921, in Holton, to Odell and Nellie Hamm. She attended Holton schools and moved to the West Coast in 1950.
<p>Mrs. Gibson was a member of the Moose Lodge in Longview, Wash., the Elks Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star.
<p>She married Donald Gibson, who died in 1999. Mrs. Gibson also was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Lee in 1962.
<p>Survivors include two sons, Donald Houtz, Falls City, Neb., and Ronald Derry, Hollister, Mo.; three daughters, Martha Weeks, Colville, Wash., GiGi Messick, Willow, Alaska, and Esther Gosney, Spirit Lake, Idaho; 30 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
