HOLTON -- A private graveside inurnment service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holton Cemetery for Myrtle L. Hamm Gibson, 82, formerly of Holton. She died Feb. 13, 2003, in Willow, Alaska.

Mrs. Gibson had been a nurse practitioner on the West Coast and she had worked in the former Topeka State Hospital.

She was born Jan. 6, 1921, in Holton, to Odell and Nellie Hamm. She attended Holton schools and moved to the West Coast in 1950.

Mrs. Gibson was a member of the Moose Lodge in Longview, Wash., the Elks Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She married Donald Gibson, who died in 1999. Mrs. Gibson also was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Lee in 1962.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Houtz, Falls City, Neb., and Ronald Derry, Hollister, Mo.; three daughters, Martha Weeks, Colville, Wash., GiGi Messick, Willow, Alaska, and Esther Gosney, Spirit Lake, Idaho; 30 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
