Jimmie T. Ham, 77, of Stillwater, died Monday, May 10, 2004, in St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

Services will be in Sunnybrook Christian Church Thursday at 2 p.m with Paul Anderson and Rich Jones officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Stillwater.

Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born in Payne County Sept. 7, 1926, to William Arthur (Tom) and Blanche (Leigh) Ham.

He married Betty Brown and they were later divorced.

He married Esther Tarkington Aug. 2, 1986, in Stillwater.

He went to school in Payne Center then graduated from Perkins High School in 1944. He then went on to work for Santa Fe Freight, Goodyear Tire and in the oil field.

His passion was music; he played the steel guitar, standard guitar and the bass. At one time, he had a 16 piece western swing band. He started playing for dances when he was so young, his mother and father had to drive him to the dances. He last played with the Sunshine Playboys at Ponca City. He also played at the Senior Citizens Center in Perkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, John, Bill and David.

He is survived by his wife of the home; two sisters, Betty Beeler of Stillwater and Janie Loudenbach of Newport, Ore.; three daughters, Mavis King, Sande Sima and Linda Winter and her husband, Jim; grandchildren, Scott King and his wife, Elizabeth, Ronna King, Janelle Mulanax and her husband, Jason; Laura Kelly and her husband, Mike and their son, Anders; Lynelle Snowbarger and her husband, Craig; and Brandon Winter; stepchildren, Woody Bastemeyer and his sons, Michael and Chris, Bob Bastemeyer, his wife, Judy, and their son, Robert, of Tulsa; Ken Bastemeyer of Oklahoma City; Kerry Andrews of Oklahoma City and her children, Kathy, Steven and Kelly of Texas, Wanda Baker and her husband, Lupe Reyna; and special grandchildren, Amanda Kay and Bryson and Garrett Baker of Stillwater.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Hall, Gerald Johnson, Raymond Burrus, Ival Hesser, Max Porter and Lupe Reyna.
