Evelyn was born in Nicholas County, Kentucky, daughter of the late John Will Shannon and the late Ora Elizabeth Gray Shannon.

Mrs. Brammer was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and sewing.

She is survived by daughter, Judy Cox, Marion; son-in-law, John Erwin, Harford City; six granddaughters, Michele (Scott) Lewis, Marion, Amanda Cox, Marion, Elizabeth Cox, Marion, Heidi Cox, Marion, Charline (Toby) Fisher, Virginia, Debbie Townsend, Montpelier, Brenda Freeman, Hartford City; two grandsons, Shawn Cox, Marion, Joe (Sidney) Ervin, Hartford City; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Lee Brammer; mother, Ora Elizabeth Gray Shannon; father, John Will Shannon; and daughter, Bonnie Jean Ervin.
