Myrtle Jane Caudill Butler, age 83, of Maple Lane, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

Born June 7, 1931, in Morehead, she was a daughter of the late Cecil Luther and Clara Belle Shields Caudill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine brothers, J. Ottis Caudill, Clarence Caudill, Benjamin Franklin Caudill, Greenberry Caudill, Herbert Caudill, Curt Caudill, Donald Caudill, David Caudill, and James Luther Caudill, and one sister, Lena Mae Roberts.

Her husband, Charles Raymond Butler, passed away October 4, 1984.

Mrs. Butler is survived by three sons, Jimmy Charles (Carolyn) Butler, Jackie Ray (Charlotte) Butler, and Danny Ray (Dawn) Butler, all of Morehead; one daughter, Shirley Mae Kegley of Morehead; 8 grandchildren, Marilyn Jane Walls, Mark Anthony Pennington, Tonya Faye Holland, Charles Ernest DeWitt, Amber Dawn Trimell, Cara Nichelle Miller, Nathan Kyle Butler, and Kristin D. Alexandria Butler; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and extended family members.

She was a homemaker and former employee of the Dixie Grill and Eagles Nest and was a member of the Church of God. Myrtle was an avid U.K. fan and enjoyed quilting, cooking, and traveling. She also enjoyed working outdoors with her lawn care service that she owned and operated.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Memorial Chapel with Pastor Kevin Cornett officiating. Burial will follow in Caudill Cemetery on Sharkey Road.

Pallbearers: Jimmy Butler, Jackie Butler, Ricky Caudill, Nathan Butler, Mark Pennington, Nathan Pennington, Junior Maples, David Allen Caudill, Jeffery Roberts, Scott Bailey.

Visitation is after 3 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
