Wandaline Alward, 87, of Kingman died at 4:40 am Thursday in Culver Union Hospital.

Mrs. Alward was a school teacher, having taught at Wallace, Marshall, Waynetown, Grange Corner and Bloomingdale.
She was a member of the Wolf Creek Church, where she was also a member of the Ladies Aid, Wallace Eastern Star, Wallace Low 12 Club, Indiana Retired Teachers Association, and the Home Ec Club. She was a graduate of Wallace High School and Madam Blaker's Teachers College.

She was born Aug, 20, 1908, in Fountain County to Harry and Gertrude Brunner Lowe. She married Stanton M. Alward on Sept. 30, 1930. He survives.

Also surviving are a son, Mike of Kingman; a daughter, Mrs, Charles (Nancy) Baker of Logansport; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
