Darlington, April 14 - Noah Franklin Gooding. 81, died at 8:45 o'clock Sunday morning following a two weeks' illness at the home of a stepson, Ed Kendall, eight miles northwest of Darlington. His death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage.

Born Jan. 19, 1865, at Wallace, Ind., Mr. Gooding was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gooding. He married Julia Kendall of Crawfordsville Nov 21, 1931.

Surviving in addition to the widow and stepson at whose home he died, are another stepson, Hugh Kendall; a brother, Sam Gooding of Wallace; a sister, Mary Alward; seven step-children, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Wallace Lutheran church, of which he was a member, in charge of Rev. John Servies. Burial will be made in the Lutheran cemetery.

The body will be removed from the Butler and Russell funeral home to the Ed Kendall residence after noon Monday.
