Kenneth Wayne Bradley, age 78, of Wheelersburg went to be with his Lord
December 13, 2011, at Concord Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was
born August 27, 1933, in Olive Hill, Ky., to Lige and Ida (Johnson)
Bradley. He worked as a barber in New Boston, Empire Detroit Steel, and
then finally as a boiler operator for 25 years at the prison in
Lucasville. He especially loved farming, raising Black Angus cattle, and
enjoyed cars. Ken was a longtime member of Antioch Freewill Baptist
Church.
He is survived by his wife Betty; one son Larry Bradley
of Chillicothe; one brother, Sam (Anita) Bradley of Portsmouth; many
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence
Bradley and a sister, Sylvia Conley.
Funeral services will be at
1:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2011, at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in
Sciotoville with Pastor Rick Henderson officiating. Interment will
follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace with the James
Dickey Post #23 providing Military honors. Friends may call Thursday
from 4 - 7 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral
home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Heartland Hospice.
