Newell Clifton “Tippy” Bramel, 82, of Owingsville, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

Born July 13, 1935, in Wallingford, he was the son of the late Lester and Cecial Newdigate Bramel.

For over 30 years, Tippy worked as a cable splicer for Hinkles & McCoy Cable Contracting of Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Wallingford United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Rigdon Bramel; his sons, Michael Bramel and wife Andrea of Flemingsburg, and Randy Bramel and wife Martina of Olympia; his grandchildren, Della Bramel and Tara Metcalf; and his siblings, Amos Bramel and wife Helen of Flemingsburg, and Ruth Manning and husband Warner of Bellville, OH.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Andrew Noah Bramel and Ethan Dalton Bramel; and four siblings, Doug Bramel, Roy Bramel, Betty Bramel, and Margie Bramel.

Services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, December 3rd, at Wallingford United Methodist Church with Bro. Jerry Eubanks and Bro. Jacob Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Wallingford Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Boone-Nickell Funeral from 6 – 8 p.m., Saturday.
