 memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, in St. Peter's
 Lutheran Church in Cornelius for Thelma E. Lankow, who died Oct. 2 at 
age 93.<br><br>Mrs. Lankow was born Thelma E. Johnson on Dec. 16, 1907, 
in Broad Ripple, Ind. She lived throughout the Northwest and California 
before moving to Cornelius in 1956, and was a homemaker and pastor's 
wife. A member of the church, she was its organist, taught in its Sunday
 school and cared for its altar. In 1931, she married the Rev. Martin 
Lankow; he died in 1983.<br><br>Survivors include her daughters, Donna 
Calkins and Martha Sahnow; sister, Elberta Schneek; four grandchildren; 
and 11 great-grandchildren.<br><br>Interment in the church cemetery. Remembrances to the church's Seminary Student Fund. Arrangements by Donelson Sewell.
