Spouse: Ada Mae Glover Marriage: March 2, 1945 Raton, Colfax County, New Mexico Derold E. Lynskey, 70, of Nampa, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1988, in a Nampa care center. Mr. Lynskey, a retired law enforcement officer, was born Nov. 4, 1917, at Norma, N.D. He moved with his family to Melba in 1939. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He married Ada M. Glover on March 2, 1945, at Raton, N.M. After his discharge, they moved to Bellingham, Wash., where he was employed with the Bellingham Transit Co. He entered law enforcement in 1953, first with the Nampa Police Department, then the Canyon County Sheriff's Office, and later with the Idaho State Police. He later was Valley County Sheriff at Cascade, retiring in January 1977. He was a security guard for First Security Bank from October 1977 to December 1982. He was a lifetime member of the Idaho-Oregon Peace Officer's Association; the National Sheriff's Association; and was named to Who's Who in Government in 1977-78. Survivors include his wife, Ada of Boise; four sons, Gary of Belvidere, Ill., Marlin of Boise, Rick of Coeur d'Alene, and Alan of Nampa; two brothers, Otis of Melba, and Bruce of Nampa; a sister, lone Fine of Melba; and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents; two brothers, Lowell and Clive; a niece; and a nephew, died earlier.
