EMMA BOWEN FUGATE, 93, of Knightstown, Indiana, formerly of Carter County, Kentucky, died Friday in Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield, Indiana.

She was born December 30, 1906 in Carter County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late St. Clair and Ella Johnson Bowen.

Emma was a member of the Knightstown Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Fugate, sons, Clauda Fugate and Jimmy Fugate; daughter, Betty Jo Moore.

Emma was survived by sons, Jack Fugate and Mitchel Fugate; daughter, Nancy L. Fugate; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at Todd Funeral Home at Knightstown, Indiana, by the Rev. Virl Black.

Burial was in Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown, Indiana.
