Mrs. Emma Blanton, 65, died Sunday, June 20, in the U. K. Medical Center in Lexington. She was born January 2, 1911, at Elna, and was the daughter of Alando and Clara Hill McKenzie. Mrs. Blanton was a resident of Staffordsville and a member of the Bethel United Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Blanton on November 19, 1972.

Surviving are two sons, John W. of Staffordsville and George L. of Flat Gap; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Evelyn Baldwin and Mrs. Nell Pelphrey, both of Staffordsville; a half brother, Douglas Stapleton of Fuget; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, June 23, in Bethel United Baptist Church at Flat Gap with Elders J. T. Bailey, Buel Ferguson and Jimmy Blanton officiating.

Burial will be in the family cemetery at Staffordsville with Paintsville Funeral Home handling arrangements.
