Oil Springs Woman Dies in Huntington Mrs. Lina Tackett, 47, wife of Mose Tackett of Oil Springs, died at 7:30 a. m., Friday, May 19, in the St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, W. Va., following an illness of five months. The daughter of George and Molly Blanton Hitchcock, she was born in this county January 22, 1902. She was a beloved and respected citizen of the community where she had lived for the past twenty-five years. Survivors include besides her husband, three children: one daughter, Mildred, Oil Springs, two sons, Willard, Oil Springs, and Willie, Dayton, Ohio. Surviving brothers and sisters are Willie Hitchcock, Mrs.Hattie McKenzie and Mrs. Mattie Colvin, all of Beaver,Ohio, Estill Hitchcock, Catlettsburg. Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 P. M. Sunday, May 21, at the Blanton Branch Cemetery with Revs. Thurman Ferguson, Theodore Williams, Lonza Reed, and Taylor Williams officiating. Burial was in the Blanton Branch Cemetery under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home. Paintsville Herald 25 May 1950
