Willie
 McCarty, 73, died January 29 in Sun City Center, FL. Mr. McCarty was 
born April 5, 1910 in Johnson County, the son of Forest and Rosa Curtis 
McCarty. He was a resident of Hilliard, OH, a retired carpenter and a 
member of the Sugar Grove United Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife 
Garnet Hayes McCarty who he married Jan. 19, 1935 at Sitka; a son, Paul 
McCarty of Hilliard; 4 brothers, William McCarty of Dayton, OH, Emery 
McCarty of Ashland, Burley McCarty of Springfield, OH and Virgil McCarty
 of Kitts Hill, OH; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. Funeral 
services were held February 2 in Preston Funeral Home with Tommy Bailey,
 Lonza Reed, and Charles Smith officiating. Burial was in Sparks
