Retired bookkeeper, Ora McKenzie, 89, died Tuesday, August 10 1993 in Paul B. Hall Medical Center. Mrs. McKenzie was born May 1, 1904 in Van Lear, the daughter of the late George and Nancy Davis Estep. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman McKenzie, in 1958. Surviving are one daughter, Thelma Jewell Delong of Van Lear; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, August 13 in the First Baptist Church at Paintsville, with Dr. Charles Milam and Rev. Hoge Hockingsmith officiating. Burial was in D. J. McCarty at Oil Springs, with Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
