Edna Ruth McCoy, 39, died Dec 9, 9:30 p.m. in Huntington, W. Va. Born November 1, 1926 on Johnson County, she was the daughter of Johnnie and Mary McCarty Curtis. A resident of Huntington, W.Va for twelve years, she was married to C. W. McCoy. Survivors including her husband are a daughter, Gwendolyn McKenzie of Fuget; and one son Jimmie Watson McCoy, age 11 of Huntington, W. Va. Also a sister Nora McCarty of Manila and two brothers Walter Curtis of Manila and Flem Curtis of Staffordsville. Funeral services were held Sunday, December 12, 11:00 a.m. at the Low Gap Church with Lonza Reed, Arnold Reed, Tommy Bailey and Oscar McCarty officiating. Burial was held in the Curtis Cemetery under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
