Funeral services for Charlie McKenzie 60, Barnetts Creek, who died Sunday will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Fish Trap United Baptist Church by Elders Lonza Reed, J.T. Bailey and James H Blair. Burial will be in Reed Cemetery at Barnetts Creek. Mr. McKenzie was born March 13, 1920 in Johnson County, a son of Harry and Carrie Blanton McKenzie of Manila. He was a member of the United Baptist Church, was a veteran of World War II and was an Oil Well Operator. Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Mrs.Georgene Trimble McKenzie; a son, Michael McKenzie ofCatlettsburg; five daughters, Mrs. Elaine Tyree ofFrenchburg, Mrs. Mary Ann Crace of Oil Springs, Misses Malinda and Lora McKenzie, both of Lexington and Miss Gena McKenzie of Barnetts Creek, brothers, Udell and Victor McKenzie both of Zanesville Ohio and James McKenzie of Win; five sisters, Mrs Beulah Trimble of Barnetts Creek, Mrs.Peggy Cantrell of Paintsville, Mrs. Phyllis Merritt and Mrs. Edna Ruth Branham, both of Battlecreek, Mich, and Mrs. AnnLewis of Columbus; and seven grandchildren. The body is the Paintsville Funeral Home where friends may call. NOTE: Burial was at the Reed Cemetery on Pickle Fork of Barnetts Creek. Date of Death: Oct. 12, 1980
