Paintsville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Eudell "Dude" McKenzie, 69, who died Tuesday, May 3 at Highlands Regional Medical Center. Mr. McKenzie was born May 6, 1924 at Manila, the son of the late Harry and Carrie Blanton McKenzie. He was a driller in the oil fields and member of the United Baptist church. Surviving are his wife, Oneida Picklesimer McKenzie; two sons, Rev. Jerry McKenzie of Staffordsville and Barry McKenzie of Lexington; one daughter, Dell Woo of Lexington; three brothers, Willis "Nig" McKenzie of Staffordsville, James L. McKenzie of Paintsville, Victor McKenzie of Zanesville, OH; five sisters, Beulah Trimble of Staffordsville, Phyllis Merit and Ruth Branham both of Battlecreek, MI, Peggy Cantrell of Paintsville and Ann Lewis of Grove City, OH; and seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, May 6 at Fishtrap United Baptist Church at Staffordsville, with Elders Sam Reed, Frankie Williams, Danny Williams and Bruce Howard officiating.
