LYONS, Colo. – Mrs. Lana Kay Bruhns, 37, Lyons, formerly of Topeka, died Monday, Sept. 10, in an automobile accident at her home. Mrs. Bruhns died when she was run over by the family automobile when it started rolling out of the Bruhns driveway and she ran behind the automobile to try to stop it, officials said. Mrs. Bruhns was co-owner with her husband of Bruhns Auction Gallery and Bruhns Redstone Antiques at Lyons. She was co-owner of Copper Kettle Antiques at Topeka before she moved to Lyons in 1978. She also worked for the Santa Fe Railway in Topeka bout 10 years after she graduated from Topeka High School in 1965. She was born Dec. 14, 1947 at Topeka, the daughter of Robert R. and Lola Mae Brammer Christian. Mrs. Bruhns was a member of the National Antique Dealers Association, Lyons Chamber of Commerce, Colorado Convention Bureau and a past president of the Lyons Antique Dealers Association. She was married to Thomas C. Bruhns, Feb. 6, 1966, at Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Emy Annette Bruhns, at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Christian, Topeka; and a brother, R. Roger Christian, Rossville. Services will be at noon Saturday at Old Stone Church of Lyons. Burial will be in Lyons Cemetery. Alhberg Funeral Home, Longmont, Colo., is in charge of arrangements.
