Paintsville resident Deana Jayne Montgomery, 75, died July 29 1998, at St Joseph Hospital, Lexington. Mrs. Montgomery was born August 14, 1922, in Johnson County, to the late Joe and Mary Cantrell Jayne. She was a member of Paintsville Eastern Star Lodge 381. She was also preceded in death by, two husbands, L.V Banter Bradley and Frank Montgomery. Surviving are one daughter, Janet R Butler of Lubbock, Texas; one son-in-law, David Lee Butler, of Lubbock; two sisters, Eugenia Hanshaw of Paintsville and Georgene Hughes, of Spring Hill, Florida; one half brother, Edward Tackett of Grayson; two granddaughters, Jayne Butler Mitchell and Lea Butler Harris; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 1, at Third Street Freewill Baptist Church, with Rev. Larry Blair officiating. Burial was in Holbrook Family Cemetery, at Paintsville, with Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Paintsville Herald August 05 1998
