MUNCIE - Mildred Hamm, 77, of Muncie, passed away at her residence on Thursday, February 14, 2013.

She was born on September 30, 1935, to Luke Edward and Esther Sue (Ryan) Anderson, in Strunk, Kentucky.

Mildred worked at Munsee Meats, Robert's, and Wise's Market during her life. She loved flowers and God. Mildred was the kind of person that would bring out the best in whoever she came in contact with.

She leaves behind her loving family, consisting of her daughter, Kathy Johnson of Muncie; sister, Betty Jo Frye of Somerset, KY; and many friends.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene Hamm; a child in birth; brother, Willard Anderson; and sisters, Beulah Eastlik, Tavy Vogelsang, and Nellie Ogden.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2013, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Avenue, Muncie.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
