NANCY C. ACKERET

Nancy Caroline Ackeret, 74, formerly of Holton, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 1991, at a nursing home in Goddard.
Mrs. Ackeret had worked at Holton Hospital and a nursing home for many years.
She was born August 13, 1917, in Leon, the daughter of Arthur and Sibbet Stauffer Hurst. She grew up in the Holton community and was graduated from Holton High School. She lived southwest of Soldier many years.
Mrs. Ackeret was a member of Bucks Grove United Methodist Church, southeast of Havensville.
She was married to John Ackeret August 14, 1938, in St. Joseph, Mo. He died August 15, 1974. A son, Bruce Ackeret, died in September 1990.
Survivors include four sons, John A. Ackeret and Gary Ackeret, both of Topeka, Roger Ackeret, Wichita, and James Ackeret, Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter, Bonnie Foster, Anchorage, Alaska; two brothers, James Hurst, Halstead, and Grant Hurst, Portales, N.M.; two sisters, Marietta Justice, Topeka, and Zenith Kaiege, Story, Wyo.; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, at Bucks Grove United Methodist Church southeast of Havensville. Burial will be in Bucks Grove Cemetery.
Mrs Ackeret will lie in state from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at Tessendorf mortuary in Onaga and from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Bucks Grove Methodist Church.
