Sue "Ham" Estes, 70, died on January 8, 2011 at Stillwater Medical Center. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Strode Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Michael L. Chace officiating. Interment followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She was born on August 24, 1940 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Roy Perry Ham and Emma Louise Graham Ham. She married Gerald Lee Estes in November of 1967. He preceded her in death in April of 2010. She worked for Oklahoma State University for twenty years at the Student Union and ten years in Student Housing before retiring in 2005. She had no children, but she considered her many nieces and nephews as her own, and they all loved their Aunt Sue and looked forward to her deviled eggs. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Annita Eades. She is survived by her two sisters, Betty Fagan and her husband, Richard, of Stillwater, and Carolyn Murray of Colorado Springs; a brother-in-law, Frank Eades of Perkins; as well as many nieces and nephews.
