Franklin D. Fultz, age 70, of Nolin Court, Morehead, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

He was born June 6, 1944, in Olive Hill, a son of the late Sam and Charity Thompson Fultz. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Paul Fultz and Sam Fultz, Jr., and one sister, Justine Reeves.

Mr. Fultz is survived by his wife of 48 years, Edna Bradley Fultz, whom he married September 11, 1965; one son, Michael Fultz and wife Crystal of Morehead; one daughter, Angela Fultz of Morehead; two brothers, Ray Fultz and Plummer Fultz of Olive Hill; one sister, Bertha Mae Lambert of Olive Hill; and four grandchildren, Morgan Blair, Madison Blair, Taylor Fultz, and Todd Fultz.

Franklin was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Kentucky Department of Transportation and a member of the Flat Fork Church of God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Delmar Logan, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Fultz Cemetery on Greasy Creek in Carter County.

Pallbearers: Joe Stafford, Billy Ray Snipes, John Long, Adam Snipes, Greg Wells, and Mike Fultz.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
