Karen Rosita Burton White, age 65, of White Road, Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 28, 2010, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky.

She was born March 8, 1945, in Shirley, Indiana, daughter of the late Norman and Grace Rosanna Dudley Burton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Allen Burton and Carl Terry Burton; a daughter, Rose Mary White; and a son, Troy Lee White. Her husband, Charlie (Charles) Ray White, whom she wed September 6, 1958, passed away April 9, 2009.

Karen is survived by two sons, Phillip Ray White and wife Barbara Ann Perry White of Ringos Mill, Kentucky, and Charles Russell White and wife Shelly Lynn Ginter White of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two daughters, Gladys May Layne and husband Billy Layne and Lisa Kay Henderson and husband Landon Dakota “Cody” Henderson, all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

She is also survived by five brothers, Owen Burton of Morehead, Kentucky, Ricky Burton of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Larry Burton of Morehead, Kentucky, Norman Burton of Plymouth, Ohio, and Joe Burton of Galion, Ohio, and two sisters, Ina Kay Russell of Shelby, Ohio, and Connie Messer of Morehead, Kentucky.

She was a homemaker, tobacco farmer, and former employee of Mushroom Mines in Lawton, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Day officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Monday, May 31, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
