Jim Hunt , 84, Platte City, MO, died Saturday, October 6, 2001, at the Veterans Hospital, Leavenworth, KS. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, at Rollins Funeral Home, Platte City, MO; burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Weston, MO. Friends may call 6:30-8 p.m. Monday, October 8, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Administration Nursing Home, 4101 Southwest Trafficway, Leavenworth, KS 66048.
Mr. Hunt was born August 27, 1917, in Platte County, MO. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a Platte County resident most of his life, and had resided in Platte City since 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake Morgan Hunt Sr. and Dorothy Abshire Hunt , his wife, Alma Lee Hill Hunt , brothers, A.B. Hunt and Jake Hunt , two infant brothers, and sister, Anna Perry. He is survived by nephews, Mac Hunt of Platte City, MO, and Bud Hunt of Maryville, MO, niece, Cora May Barton of Platte City, MO, and many other nephews and nieces.
